Port Blair, April 26: A general body meeting was called by majority of the Auto Unions of Andaman & Nicobar Islands on 18th April 2023 with an agenda to work jointly for the welfare of the Auto Owners/ Drivers of the Islands. The meeting was attended by the Presidents, General Secretaries and advisors of various auto unions, apart from prominent social workers.
In the meeting it was decided to form ‘Island Joint Auto Federation’ consisting of all Auto Unions. Accordingly, Shri Arvind Rai Sharma was elected as the Chairman of the Federation, Shri G Polaiah, Shri Sanjay Das, Shri S Prabhakar were elected as Vice Chairmen. Apart from them six Vice Presidents, a General Secretaries, Organising Secretaries, Joint Secretaries and Treasurers were also elected.
