Port Blair, Sept. 11: Vidyanjali 2.0, (a school volunteer programme) an initiative of Ministry of Education, aims to enhance the quality of school education through community and volunteers' participation by allowing them to connect directly with the Government and Government aided schools and share their knowledge and skills as well as to contribute in the forms of assets/materials/equipments.

Through this programme, almost all the Government and Government Aided Schools of Andaman and Nicobar Islands have on boarded on Vidyanjali 2.0 Portal and will post the required service/activity or assets/material/equipment on the web portal. Depending on the request raised by the school, a volunteer based on his/her area of expertise/interest or assets/material can express his/her interest to partially/fully contribute to the schools who have requested for assistance. The Vidyanjali 2.0 portal may be accessed at https://vidyanjali.education.gov.in. 

Volunteers can register themselves by logging in to the portal: https://vidyanjali.education.gov.in/en/users/login.

The volunteers can be any retired person having knowledge and experience of teaching yoga, art & craft, vocational skills, assistance for Divyaang students, adult education etc,/any NGOs/the civil society organization who can offer assets & materials such as basic civil infrastructure, electrical infrastructure, digital infrastructure, equipment for extracurricular activities &   sports,   yoga,   health   &   Safety   aids,   teaching   learning   materials, maintenance & repairs, office stationery/furniture etc.

Any contributions of assets/materials/equipment shall not be in the form of any monetary support.  Any of the above mentioned categories of the volunteers, who wish to be a part of this programme can log on to the given website and help to improve quality of school education by offering their services.
