Port Blair, Sept. 12: On the request of the youths of Stewartgunj the Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma had sanctioned Rs 50 lakhs for the extension of the playground for which he laid the foundation today the 12th September 2023.
Addressing the gathering he said, "My vision has always been to encourage and uplift our youths in the field of sports as I see tremendous potential in them and hope to see our young sportsmen from the Islands representing our nation at International level." He also said that he wishes to support the youths to enhance their skills and to provide them with good infrastructure to train.
The MP further said that he always tried to use the MPLADS funds in the development of sports infrastructure for all the youths of our Islands. The event was attended by the Chief Engineer Shri Tej Bahadur, Pramukh South Andaman, Pradhan Stewartgunj, PRI Members the elders and by the local youths of the area.
