PBGKR in Association with ISMAT Celebrates Children’s Day with the Residents of Pranab Kanya Sangha

Port Blair, Nov. 19: Spreading smiles and sharing joy has always been our motto. With this motto and with an aim to make the not so privileged children of our society feel a part of our extended family, Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi (PBGKR) in association with ISMAT – A Women’s Initiative, celebrated Children’s Day today at Bageecha, Port Blair.

The day was filled with learning and entertainment for everyone present at the venue. Starting with a yoga session by Yogacharya Shivani Singhkapath, wherein the participants were taught different forms of Yoga and breathing techniques; the day saw a series of events before concluding with lunch and gift distribution.

The events included, Painting Session by artists Ms. Sara Jadwet and Ms. Shivani Mailapalli, followed by Games conducted by Ms. Nazima Parween, Live Music by Semi-Classical Singer Ms. Shan, Dance programme by the children of Pranab Kanya Sangha, a Ramp Walk session led by Ms. Rasheeda Peer, cake cutting ceremony, prize distribution and giving away of return gifts.

We are extremely thankful to Pranab Kanya Sangha for readily accepting our proposal to send the children for the celebration. On behalf of PBGKR, I take this opportunity to extend our gratitude to Ms. Shirin Jadwet of ISMAT and her team, Andaman Chronicle for sparing Bageecha and all those who contributed in making the event a grand success.
