Port Blair, Jan 10: Shri. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, inaugurated state-of-the-art 'Language Lab' at the Police Training School, Prothrapur on 10th January 2024.

While addressing the police personnel, Shri. Devesh Chandra Srivastva emphasized upon the significance of embracing modern technology, in enhancing the capabilities of the dedicated personnel of the Andaman & Nicobar Police. The Director General of Police, highlighted the crucial role the 'Language Lab' in improving communication skills, fostering effective interactions, tourist friendly endeavour, and ultimately strengthening law enforcement efforts.

The Language Lab is poised to revolutionize language learning methodologies for police personnel, offering advanced tools and resources. This initiative aligns with the broader goal of enhancing the overall proficiency of the police force in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, in all respects.

One of the key objectives of implementing the Language Lab is to elevate the language skills of police personnel, which will have a direct impact on creating a seamless and positive experience for tourists visiting the islands. Effective communication is a bridge between law enforcement and tourists, promoting a sense of safety and assistance.
