Port Blair, May 8: For upgrading the professional skills of Police drivers, the Andaman & Nicobar Police has partnered with Headquarters Close Protection Force (CPF), NSG, Manesar, Gurgaon, Haryana for a specialized Tactical Driving Course aiming towards enhancing the skills and capabilities of Drivers of Andaman & Nicobar Police. The course has commenced on 6th May 2024 and will continue for two weeks, at Port Blair.

A total of 23 drivers from the Andaman & Nicobar Police are participating in the course, which focuses on VIP Security and safe driving techniques. Led by Officer Capt. Aman Singh, a proficient team from NSG, is facilitating the training sessions.

The comprehensive training curriculum comprises lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises, ensuring a holistic learning experience for the participants. By imparting essential skills in vehicle control, parking principles, and VIP Security aspects, the course aims to elevate the safety and security standards within the region.

Expressing gratitude to Director General, NSG and all stakeholders involved, Shri. Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, DGP, ANI, highlighted the importance of such collaborative efforts in bolstering VIP Security capabilities and ensuring public safety. The DGP & Senior Officers of A&N Police also met the NSG team and participating drivers for brief interaction.

This collaboration underscores the commitment of the Andaman & Nicobar Police and HQ CPF, NSG towards continuous skill development and the adoption of best practices for Police personnel in law enforcement and security aspects.
