Port Blair, May 29: The Birth Anniversary of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was celebrated at VSI Airport Port Blair.

The statue of the Veer Savarkar adorned with garland, lamp was lighted and sweets were distributed among passengers and all stakeholders at Airport Viz. Employees of Airports Authority of India, CISF, Airlines and various agencies working at Airport.

On the occasion, the Airport Director Shri Devender Yadav said, Port Blair Airport was re-named as Veer Savarkar Airport in 2002 by former Prime Minster, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and it relates us to valiant freedom fighter, an enthusiastic social reformer, a prolific writer, an eloquent orator and inspires us to live for the nation.
