Port Blair, June 23: The Confederation of Indian Industry-Green Business Centre (Cll-GBC), in collaboration with the NRSE Division, Electricity Department, Port Blair, successfully conducted the Final Validation Workshop under the State Energy Efficiency Action Plan (SEEAP) project for Andaman & Nicobar Islands today at Port Blair. The workshop aimed to gather final input from stakeholders on the action plans and policies outlined in the state energy efficiency action plan. The primary objective of the State Energy Efficiency Action Plan for Andaman & Nicobar Islands is to formulate sector-specific strategies for enhancing energy efficiency in A&N Islands.

The workshop was conducted under the chairmanship of Ms Ranjana Deswal, Secretary (Power), A&N Administration in the presence of Ms Madhuri Shukla, Superintending Engineer, Electricity Department and Shri Abhishek Sharma, Director, Bureau of Energy Efficiency. The esteemed dignitaries emphasized on joint and collaborative effort from various Departments, agencies and other stakeholders towards energy efficiency, sustainable practices and low-carbon technologies.

The workshop witnessed active participation from stakeholders across various sectors including Industries Department, Transport Department, Public Works Department, Agriculture Department, Fisheries Department, Electricity Department and Shipping Service. The workshop was successfully completed receiving active participation and valuable inputs from stakeholders for finalization of SEEAP towards a more sustainable and prosperous future for Andaman and Nicobar.
