Port Blair, Feb 12: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration in association with the Hoteliers Association of A & Nicobar Islands has successfully organized one of the annual calendar events ‘Tuffman Island Ultra & Half Marathon Andaman (4th Edition)’ powered by SeaShell Hotel Resort Spa on 11th February 2024 at Netaji Stadium. The event stands as a significant milestone for the islands, promoting the spirit of sportsmanship, eco-tourism and healthy lifestyle.

Port Blair, Feb 12: Leading garments company Niva’s life style has opened its outlet at Veer Savarkar International Airport Port Blair. The inauguration ceremony was held today at 11:00 am wherein the Airport Director Sh Devender Yadav was the chief guest.

The Airport Director said that Master Concessioner of food & beverages is already in operations at Airport. Twelve stalls of food & beverages are already opened and it includes brands KFC, Tealogy, Costa Coffee, Wango and Cafella etc. and 5 more stalls food & beverages will open soon in airport premises.

Port Blair, Feb 12: Hon'ble Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Shri Som Parkash, IAS (Retd.) held a review meeting of Logistic Policy of Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the Conference Hall of Secretariat on 12.02.2024.

Diglipur, Feb 12: During his two-day visit to Diglipur, D. Ayyappan, Vice President, CITU A&N State Committee addressed a number of meetings of workers and employees.

He addressed the meetings of RD Engineering Wing Employees, Community Resource Persons, joint meeting of trade unions of Diglipur area on different dates. Addressing these meetings, Ayyappan blamed the central government for pursuing anti-working class and anti-farmer policies in the country. He said that the Modi government has been trying to take away the rights and benefits which the workers were enjoying and referred to the repealing of a number of legislations existed in the country and bringing four Labour Codes in its place which are anti-labour and to help the corporate. 

Port Blair, Feb 12: The Chief Electoral Officer, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri B S Jaglan, IAS held a meeting in his chamber at Secretariat with the Post Master General, Department of Post, A&N Islands, Col. Arvind Varma to review the progress of Elector’s Photo Identity Card (EPIC) distribution to electors in view of upcoming General Election to Lok Sabha-2024.

The Post Master General of Andaman & Nicobar Islands assured that by middle of March, 2024 all EPICs will be distributed.
