The last date for submission of application as per the prescribed format is 3/11/2023. Port Blair, Oct. 5: The Department of Animal Husbandry has undertaken an initiative to support local poultry farmers in. In this endeavor, a total of 850 poultry chicks were distributed to 30 farmers on the island. These chicks are not limited to a single breed; rather, they include a variety, including Vanraja chicks.

This distribution event aimed to promote poultry farming as a sustainable source of income and livelihood for the local farmers on Shaheed Dweep. Poultry farming, which includes breeds like the Vanraja, is known for its robustness and high egg production, making it a valuable asset for those engaged in poultry.

Port Blair, Oct. 5: Under the Central Sector Scheme - Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) eligible farmer families receive financial benefits of Rs. 6000/- per year which is payable in 3 equal installments of Rs. 2000/- each, every four months. Till now, 14 Installments have been released directly to the bank accounts of the PM- KISAN beneficiaries by the GoI.  The Govt. of India has made the following mandatory requirement which is to be completed before the release of 15th Installment (period August – November) viz. e-KYC is completed, Land details is entered in PM-KISAN portal and Bank account is seeded with Aadhaar.
