Wimberlygunj, Jan 7: Crescent Public School, Wimberly Gunj, hosted its exhilarating Annual Sports Meet 2023-24 at the Nayapuram ground adjacent to the Indoor Stadium on 6th January 2023 at 9:00 am. The event unfolded with grandeur, witnessing an esteemed line-up of dignitaries and spirited participants.
Mrs. Sangeeta Chand, Deputy Education Officer of Wimberly Gunj, graced the inaugural session as the chief guest. In her address she commended the institution for its distinguished status as one of the finest schools in South Andaman. Notably, she highlighted the school's exceptional accomplishments, both in academics and Co-curricular activities, acknowledging its commendable contributions to the educational landscape. Pradhan, Kanyapuram and Wimberly Gunj P Abdul Basheer, and Venkat Ram Babu adorned the occasion as esteemed guests of honor. Additionally, Dr. Sabique C, a distinguished Senior Resident Urologist at AIIMS, Odisha, and an esteemed alumnus of Crescent Public School, was a special guest, adding significance to the annual athletic meet.

Port Blair, Jan 7: CPI (M) Port Blair Area Committee has carried out door-to-door campaign and corner meetings at Dairy Farm, Ranchi Basthi, Garacharma and Bathubasthi areas on 28th, 29th and 30th December, 2023, 2nd and 4th, January, 2024. Various burning issues like (i) frequent power cut, (ii) sky-rocketing price rise (iii) growing unemployment, (iv) corruption, (v) non-availability of stone chips, metals, (vi) deplorable condition of urban roads, etc. were highlighted during the campaign and corner meetings.
