Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 17: The Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) along with Blood Centre, G B Pant Hospital, Directorate of Health Services has extended support to the Andaman & Nicobar Fire & Emergency Services, Sri Vijaya Puram, in organizing a Blood Donation Camp at Fire Service Head Quarter today. A total of 33 units of blood were donated by the voluntary donors.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 17: The Hindu Rashtra Shakti has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration in a letter to convene meeting to review the Member of Parliament’s important letters.

In a letter to the Chief Secretary, the HRS State President, Shri Rakeshwar Lall informed that such review meetings were convened by former Chief Secretary Shri Anindo Majumdar, IAS (AGMUT 1985) during the year 2016.

Power supply will remain suspended at part of Dollygunj, part of Pahargaon, ICMR Colony area, part of School Line and Water Treatment Plant area at Lamba Line on Jan.18, 2025 from 0700 hrs to 1300 hrs, if required, due to precautionary isolation of underground power cables while undertaking the repair work of pipe line by APWD at Dollygunj junction near DBRAIT.

In addition to this, power supply will remain suspended at Bhatu Basti complete, Laxmi Motor Area, Pathergudda, Satellite Colony & New Pahargaon on 18.01.2025 from 0600 hrs to 1000 hrs, in connection with replacement of CT at Garacharma Sub-Station.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 17: The Science Centre, Sri Vijaya Puram shall be organizing a sky show on 18th & 19th January 2025 between 5.45 pm to 6.30 pm. The programme to be presented include description about the Planet-Jupiter & Venus. The visitors shall be provided with a Sky map of the sky over Sri Vijaya Puram for locating planets and other celestial bodies. The visitor can have the opportunity of viewing the Planet- Venus & Jupiter & its moons popularly known as Galilean Moons called Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 16: The Andaman and Nicobar Police proudly celebrated 73rd Raising Day, marking over seven decades of dedicated service, commitment, and excellence. The ceremonial event was held at Police Lines Parade Ground with great enthusiasm, graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Air Marshal Saju Balakrishnan, AVSM, VM, Commander-in-Chief of the ANC; Rear Admiral Biplab Hota, Chief of Staff, ANC and senior officers from the A&N Administration and ANC, and other dignitaries.
