Port Blair, Feb 22: A six-day workshop on ‘Sambalpuri Folk & Tribal Dance’, being organized by the Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration is underway at Andaman Club. The workshop being held in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India will continue till Feb. 25.

Port Blair, Feb 22: In exercise of power conferred under M.V. Act 1988 (Act No.59 of 1988) read with Administrations Notification No./2008/F.No.32-95/2008-TR. Dated 10th March, 2008, the District Magistrate, South Andaman District is hereby notifies for the information of all concerned that the road from Collinpur Junction to Kurmadera for an approx. length of 1.50 KM will be closed for all the vehicle movements for 05 days w.e.f. 23.02.2023 to 27.02.2023.

Port Blair, Feb 22: The vessel Sindhu will sail for Vizag on Feb.25, 2023 at 10 am from Haddo Wharf. Excess baggage will be loaded from 2 to 4 pm on Feb.24. Embarkation of passengers will be done from 8 to 9 am on Feb.25, 2023. The embarkation of passengers will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel.

Port Blair, Feb 22: The vessel MV Campbell Bay will sail for Kolkata via Mayabunder on Feb.24, 2023 at 8 am from Haddo wharf. Excess baggage will be loaded from 2 to 4 pm on Feb.23. Embarkation of passengers will be done from 6 to 7 am on Feb.24. The embarkation of passengers will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel. The vessel will sail soon after the embarkation of passengers and completion of other formalities.

Kuldeep Rai Sharma Secures Sansad Ratna Award for the Second Time in a Row
Port Blair, Feb 21: Thirteen MPs, including Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Congress leader Shri. Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, RJD's Shri. Manoj Jha and CPI-M's Shri. John Brittas, have been nominated for the Sansad Ratna Awards 2023.
This is the second time Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has been nominated for this award. Earlier he was awarded the prestigious "Sansad Ratna Award 2022” in New Delhi on 26th of March 2022.
