Sri Vijaya Puram, March 16: The Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), Govt. of India has dedicated the period from 14.02.2025 to 13.03.2025 this year as the Animal Husbandry & Animal Welfare Awareness Month to raise awareness about the importance of good Animal Husbandry practices and improve the welfare of livestock across the country.

In this regard, the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Sri Vijaya Puram, organized a Water Bowl Campaign during the Animal Husbandry & Animal Welfare Awareness Month, which concluded on March 13, 2025.

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 16: The Andaman and Nicobar Pollution Control Committee (ANPCC), Department of Science and Technology, has installed a Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station (CAAQMS) behind ITF Ground, Junglighat for monitoring of air quality parameters. The CAAQMS facility enables the real-time monitoring of air quality parameters like CO, SO₂, NOx, NH₃, O₃, PM₁₀, and PM₂.as well as Meteorological data.

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 16: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration is organizing a State Learning Week (SLW) for the UT of Andaman and Nicobar in association with Karmayogi Bharat from 18th March, 2025 to 23rd March, 2025. The SLW will be officially launched on 18th March, 2025. A workshop for familiarizing with the State Learning Week Dashboard and basic orientation on the importance of SLW will be organized on 17th March, 2025 from 10.30 am to 1 pm in the Conference Hall of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology.    From each Department, Head of Department, MDO Admins and any 1 additional staff (preferably having an IT background) officials have been requested to attend the workshop/orientation program.

Sri Vijaya Puram, March 16: As per the directive of the Chief Secretary mandating quarterly mock drills across all Departments of A&N Administration, the Directorate of Disaster Management, A&N Administration organized an Earthquake and Fire Mock Drill at the Directorate of Agriculture, Sri Vijaya Puram on March 13. The exercise was conducted in coordination with the District Administration, A&N Police, Health and Fire Departments to evaluate the Department’s preparedness for emergency situations.
