Port Blair, May 12: The vessel MV Swaraj Dweep will sail from Port Blair to Chennai on May 14, 2024 at 0900 hrs. Excess baggage will be loaded from 1400 hrs to 1600 hrs on May 13, 2024. Excess baggage/cargos are required to be booked in advance at Commercial Wing, DSS. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 0700 hrs on May 14, 2024. The embarkation of passengers will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel.

Mayabunder, May 12: The Revenue Officials of the District Administration, North & Middle Andaman is continuing with their unwavering commitment to reclaim public spaces and uphold the law. On the fourth day of the encroachment eviction drive today, the team carried out the eviction process in various areas of the District viz. DB Gram village (7000 sq. mtrs of land with temporary shed, banana and arecanut plantation), VS Pally village (100 sq. mtrs. footpath) under Diglipur Tehsil and Shantanu village (12000 sq. mtrs of land with banana and arecanut plantation), Rangat Bazaar (roadside/footpath tents/ temporary sheds) under Rangat Tehsil and restored it to Govt. Khata.

Port Blair, May 11: The Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Department has extended the last date for updating e-KYC for the left out AAY & PHH ration card beneficiaries upto 15th May 2024. However, it is noticed that despite repeated request and all possible effort, there are considerable number of beneficiaries who have not yet approached their Fair Price Shops or the Department of CS&CA and respective supply units functioning in the inter Islands for updating their e-KYC.
