Port Blair, Sept. 1: The School of Tourism and Hospitality Services Management, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, launched a 3-year Bachelor Degree programme in the area of Facility Services Management (BAFSM). The three-year degree programme is very useful for the tourism sector employees/staff working in various tourism and travel departments and it will prepare candidates for careers in Facility Services Management.

Port Blair, Sept. 1: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,96,867 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,952 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 28, 275 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 2,46,683.

Port Blair, Sept. 1: Two COVID positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands. These two cases were detected during the screening of incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 10 flights with 1402 passengers arrived, out of which, 1248 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 107 passengers and the reports are awaited.
