Pant Hospital Port Blair frequently, and creating ruckus with the malafide intent to paralyze and disrupt the Essential Health Care Services. It has also been observed that these elements are trying to break the social harmony and working atmosphere of the only tertiary care hospital in this UT by threatening Senior Doctors, Nurses & Paramedics, which may jeopardize the Essential Health Care of the critically ill patients on one hand and adversely impact the working environment on the other.

Port Blair, July 16: ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has been granted a patent for an invention entitled ‘A NEW AND SAFE METHOD OF BLOODCOLLECTION FROM FARM PIGS’ (Patent No. 544874, Date of grant: 12/07/2024). The present invention describes an innovative technique of blood collection in which blood is collected from a different anatomical site of farm pigs which has not been described earlier in patented and non-patented literature.
