Port Blair, July 22: It has been observed that some Bar Owners and POL (Petroleum, Oil & Lubricant) Owners are not remitting their Value Added Tax (VAT) on a monthly basis within the due dates as notified vide F.No.1-1/DC (SA)/VAT (PF)/2017- 18/5974 dated 31st December, 2020 issued by the Commissioner (VAT), A & N Islands. This non-compliance constitutes a gross violation of VAT Rules and results in a significant loss to the Government exchequer. Therefore, all bar owners and POL owners have been once again directed to strictly comply with the due dates as per the aforementioned notification provided as under:

Sivapuram, July 22: A training on “Promotion of spices cultivation in plantation based cropping system” was organised by ICAR- KVK, Nimbudera, North & Middle Andaman from 18th to 20th July, 2024 at Sivapuram Gram Panchayat, Rangat, Middle Andaman in order to promote cultivation of spices. The program was inaugurated by Smt. Adi Laxmi, Up-Pradhan, Sivapuram gram panchayat in the presence of Mrs. Sherly Thomas, Joint Director, Department of Agriculture, N&M Andaman.

Port Blair, July 22: The third selected list of candidates based upon their first preference for admission in various Diploma Engineering and Non-Engineering courses offered by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Port Blair and Diploma in Engineering courses at Govt. Polytechnic Diglipur, for the academic session 2024-25 will be uploaded in the Common College Admission Portal. The candidates can access the list from Common College Admission Portal (CCAP) or visit nearest TVET Centres on 23/07/2024.
