Diglipur, July 20: The Department of Agriculture at Diglipur organized a demonstration on ‘Preparation of Biopesticides formulation viz. Neemashtra, Jeevamrit and preparation of Vermicompost in vermibed’ in the field of Shri R. Kannan, S/o Lt. P. Rangaswami at Milangram village under Gram Panchayat, Laxmipur on July 18. The demonstration was attended by 25 farmers of the area and Samiti Member, Shri Ashim Mistry.

Mayabunder, July 21: The meeting of Governing Body of VKZPVs, N&M Andaman was held on July 18, 2024 in the Conference Hall of the Zilla Parishad, Mayabunder. Smt. Elizabeth, Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, North & Middle Andaman welcomed all the Members of Body and Shri Ashish Joon, CEO, Zilla Parishad briefed about the ongoing projects of VKZPVs, initiatives taken like procurement of sports items and the proposed repair and maintenance of the three VKZPVs and the ongoing repair project of VKV, Kadamtala.

Port Blair, July 21: In a significant move towards realizing the vision of Digital India Mission and to shift towards a 100% cashless bill payment system, the Electricity Department, A&N Administration shall discontinue collection of energy bill payments at the Site Offices and Common Service Centres (CSC) for the consumers of entire South Andaman District in the first phase w.e.f. 01.08.2024.

Port Blair, July 20: The vessel MV Swaraj Dweep will sail from Port Blair to Vizag on July 22 at 1000 hrs. Excess baggage will be loaded from 1400 hrs to 1600 hrs on July 21. The excess baggage/cargo are required to be booked in advance at Commercial Wing, DSS. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 0800 hrs on July 22. The embarkation of passengers will be closed one hour before the schedule time.
