MV Makruzz on being conferred with Maritime Excellence Achievers Award 2023 by Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, GoI in Ferry Services category for Promotion of Urban/Water-based Transportation during the 3rd Global Maritime India Summit 2023 held at Mumbai.

Port Blair, Oct. 23: One more chess player from A & N Islands achieves the FIDE Arena Title. J Yadhava Rao, a chess player from Port Blair made the Islanders proud by achieving the FIDE Arena Title. He is the third player from the Islands to achieve the FIDE Arena Title from A & N Islands.

Diglipur, Oct. 23: To conquer the menace of illicit Methamphetamine drugs at North & Middle Andaman District, PS Diglipur proved their mettle once again by going tough against the drug peddlers.
On the basis of credible information received at PS Diglipur on 22/10/2023, a raiding team comprising of HC Santosh Nair, PCs Abubacker Siddique, Samaresh Mistry, Radhesham Hawlader, Devsai Toppo, Soma Dey & Mirthunjoy Das led by Inspr. K.Binoj, SHO PS Diglipur with two independent witnesses under the supervision of Shri. Brij Mohan Meena, (DANIPS), SDPO Diglipur reached the spot. Later a suspect person was stopped by team and conducting search.

Port Blair, Oct. 23: A delegation of Congress Party under the leadership of ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder and ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Shri. TSG Bhasker along with Senior Congress Leader Shri. Saji Varghese and Congress Leader Shri. Ameer Bux visited Billyground for attending party meeting.
