Port Blair, April 29: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,75,338 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,421 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 11,695 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 1,93,71.

Port Blair, April 29: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 127 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 9 flights with 956 passengers arrived, out of which, 865 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 111 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Trainees Urged to Make Use of the Upgraded Skills for a Better Earning
Port Blair, April 28: The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Cell, JNRM in association with the Gram Panchayat Chouldari organised a ten days Skill Development Training Programme on Beautician in Chouldari for the women from 19th to 28th April 2022. The valedictory function was held today in the Chouldari Gram Panchayat Hall. Shri. Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Additional District Magistrate, South Andaman District graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Port Blair, April 28: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to maintain a weekly roster of cargo and dangerous cargo ships for Great Nicobar Islands so that fuel, LPG Cylinders and essential commodities reach to the Islands on regular basis.
