Port Blair, Nov. 3: ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair signed Memorandum of Understanding on 3rd November, 2022 for licensing of technology ‘’Dweep Vertigrow’’ in the Islands. Dr. E.B. Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CIARI transferred the technology to M/s. Jaisankar Industries, South Andaman.

Port Blair, Nov. 3: The Directorate of Industries, A&N Administration in the capacity of the Nodal Department of Startup India scheme in the Islands is committed to the growth and nurture of the Startups and development of a strong and vibrant Startup Ecosystem in the Islands. Since the launch of the ‘Andaman and Nicobar Startup and Innovation Policy’ by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 30th December, 2018, the UT of Andaman and Nicobar Islands has made significant strides in its Startup System, generating a noteworthy number of startups encompassing all sectors including IT, E- Commerce, Fisheries, Agriculture, Internet of things and Tour and Travels among others.
