Port Blair, June 20: The officers/officials from Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism will be visiting Shaheed Dweep on June 25, 2024 to verify/scrutinize the documents of local Snorkel Guides, those who have valid certificates (i.e. Snorkel Guide Certificate, Life Saving Techniques Certificates, Medical Fitness Certificate, Aadhaar Card, etc). After due verification of the documents, the documents along with applications will be collected by the officers/officials for obtaining necessary approval of the competent authority for enrolling them with Directorate of IP&T.

Port Blair, June 20: The Industries Department will be organizing ‘Awareness-cum Motivational Programmes’ on Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and other Govt. Sponsored schemes and programmes implemented by Department of Industries and other line Departments such as Agriculture, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Banks.
The programme will be organized in association with Tribal Council, NYK, Department of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, SBI, ANSCB and NGOs. The Programme is scheduled to be held tentatively from the 3rd week of June, 2024 onwards at different parts of Nancowry Group of Islands viz. Kamorta, Katchal, Teressa, Chowra etc.

Port Blair, June 20: Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (a youth wing of Chinmaya Mission) will be organizing 3 days non-residential youth camp from June 22 to June 24 at Mission auditorium. The camp will be held from 9 am to 4 pm and the theme of the camp will be “Cultivating inner peace”. All the youth in the age group of 18 to 35 can join the camp. Port Blair, June 20: Passengers/general public have been informed that the vessel MV Kalighat will sail for Little Andaman on June 23, 2024at 2100 hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail back to Port Blair on June 24, 2024 at 0800 hrs from Little Andaman. Passengers may book their tickets for the above sailing from DSS e-ticketing portal (https://dss.andaman.gov.in/eticketing) and STARS Ticketing Counter from June 21, 2024 onwards.
