Port Blair, Nov. 26: The District Child Protection Unit (SA) under District Administration organised an Awareness Campaign on Divyangjan at Beodnabad Panchayat commemorating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The purpose of the campaign was to raise awareness of different types of disabilities and how they impact lives of Divyangjan.

Ambedkar, Chairman of the Constitution Drafting Committee. Senior Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre-Port Blair Dr. S. Port Blair, Nov. 26: As per data available, a total of 5,46,490 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,75,411 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 2413 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.

Port Blair, Nov 25: The Member of Parliament of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to resolve the issue of re-settlement package for shifting of more than 200 repatriated Sri Lankan Tamil settler families from Katchal Island’s Tribal area to Non-Tribal - Revenue area, which is pending since more than last two decades.
