Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands to introduce some more Under Graduate courses like Physical Education, Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Microbiology, Forestry and Fisheries to maximise the chance of North & Middle Andaman Students to get employment in high places of local, national and international level.

Port Blair, Oct. 20: Along with the rest of the country, various programmes including medical camps, POSHAN camps, awareness talks are being conducted by the Health Department in various parts of the Islands. Ministry of AYUSH celebrates Ayurveda Day every year on Dhanvantari Jayanti/Dhanteras. The Ministry celebrates it in collaboration with all the Ministries and Departments of Government of India with a campaign for six weeks so that every person of the nation is made aware of traditional system of medicine. The theme for the celebration is ‘Har Din Har Ghar Ayurveda’.

Port Blair, Oct. 20: As part of the observance of Global Iodine Deficiency Disorders Prevention Day, the National Iodine Deficiency Disorders Control Programme (NIDDCP) is scheduled to be held on 21st October, 2022 by the Directorate of Health Services in association with Union Territory Health Mission with the aim to zero mental and physical retardation, deaf & mutism, cretinism, still births, abortion etc., due to lack of Iodine.
