Port Blair, June 24: The District Consultative Committee and District Level Review Meeting of South Andaman District for the March 2022 was held today under the Chairmanship of Shri Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman at Conference Hall, District Office to review the performance of Banks under Annual Credit Plan, Government Sponsored Schemes and Flagship Schemes launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

Port Blair, June 24: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,83,373 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,572 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years and 13,251 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 years. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 27,105.

Port Blair, June 23: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to construct a 100 bedded ‘North & Middle Andaman Guest House’ for the general public of North & Middle Andaman and a 100 bedded ‘Nicobar Guest House’ for tribal brothers and sisters as well as general public of Nicobar District at any prominent location of Port Blair city.

Port Blair, June 24: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 211 passengers who arrived here yesterday, four positive cases have been detected. Today, 12 flights with 1797 passengers arrived, out of which, 1523 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 214 passengers and the reports are awaited.
