Port Blair, Feb 2: Fuelling the aspirations of young minds, the Education Department yesterday launched ‘Mission Margdarshan 2024’, a comprehensive career guidance & counselling program for class 10th and 12th students at the TGCE auditorium. Smt. Pallavi Sarkar, IAS, Secretary (Education) appraised the students about the significance of ‘Mission Margdarshan 2024’. Emphasizing the importance of informed decision-making, the Secretary encouraged students to explore their potential and make well-rounded choices for their future careers.

Tushnabad, Feb 2: NABARD has extended support to Mithakhari Gram Panchayat for construction of Rural Haat near Tushnabad Junction. The marketing platform was inaugurated by the Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Rural Development, A&N Administration, Smt. Nandini Paliwal, IAS, on Jan. 31, 2024 in the presence of General Manager, NABARD, Smti Archana Singh and Pradhan, Mithakhari, Shri Mohd. Safiq. The ‘Rural Haat’ is a dedication to the Gram Panchayat primarily for marketing of products of farmers, artisans and SHG members in the area. Members of Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti and the villagers from Muslimbasti, Mithakhari and Ograbraj villages were present on the occasion.

Port Blair, Feb 2: The GB Pant Hospital, ANIIMS has recently introduced a patient feedback system in the hospital and is taking active and swift steps for effective and timely response to feedbacks received from patients and their attendants. In an ongoing commitment to delivering quality health care services to the patients, the hospital administration has addressed concerns raised on patient feedback system on issues like sanitation, hygiene, staff behavior, waiting time etc.

Continuing into the efforts towards quality and excellence, the Quality Assurance Cell of GBPH is ensuring regular cleaning of the hospital premises, adherence to strict disinfection protocols along with introduction of newer improvised tools for cleaner surroundings. The hospital is now using a standardized checklist for real time monitoring of sanitation and hygiene protocols and procedures for timely corrective actions.

Port Blair, Feb 2: Students appearing in AISSCE & AISSE, 2024 may sometimes undergo mental stress and psychological pressure. The students appearing for AISSE, 2024 for the first time especially, may be more vulnerable to stress and strain. In this context, the Directorate of Education in collaboration with the Officials of ANIIMS/Health Department has constituted a Committee comprising of the following members to provide assistance to all needy children to mitigate their mental stress and psychological pressure. The students can dial the numbers to seek redressal for their problems.
