Port Blair, Sept. 29: As part of the ‘Mega Blood Donation Drive, 2022’ launched of Govt. of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi which commenced from September 17 and continue upto Oct.1 in A & N Islands, the Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) coordinated the Voluntary Blood Donation camp which was organized by Office of GE Minnie Bay in coordination with G. B. Pant Hospital today. A total of 34 units of blood were donated by voluntary donors.

Port Blair, Sept. 29: As no report of sighting of Moon has reported from anywhere in these Islands, hence the A&N Hilal Committee in its meeting has decided that ‘Milad-un-Nabi’ will be observed in these Islands on Oct. 10.

Port Blair, Sept. 29: Three COVID positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands. Today, 12 flights with 2082 passengers arrived, out of which, 1841 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 217 passengers and the reports are awaited.

I was at a dinner the other day when the speaker, a small dapper millionaire, who had built an empire spoke at length about his humble leggings. “I owe my success,” he said, “to my mother, who was just a municipal teacher. I wish that mother had been there to hear those words.
