Mr Bishnu Pada Ray, Ex Member of Parliament and Mr. Rakeshwar Lall, State President, Hindu Rashtra Shakti Andaman Unit have expressed anguished over the sudden demise of Mr. R N Kalimuthu R/o Bhathubasti, Father of Shri N K Udhaya Kumar (Ex-Chairman, PBMC) who expired on 12.05.2023 at Madhurai due to cardiac arrest.

Shri Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP, A&N Islands along with all office bearers have deeply mourned the sudden demise of Shri RN Kalimuthu, Father of Shri NK Udhaya Kumar, Ex Chairperson, PBMC and State President, BJYM, A&N who expired today early morning at his native place Madurai.

Port Blair, May 11: In its constant endeavour of providing better healthcare facilities to the people of these Islands, the Andaman & Nicobar Administration has fulfilled yet another long pending demand of residents of Swaraj Dweep by establishing a Dialysis unit at Primary Health Centre, Swaraj Dweep which was virtually inaugurated today by Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, Chief Secretary, A & N Administration.

Port Blair, May 11: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today expressed gratitude towards the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and the A&N Administration for granting 1/30th of minimum pay plus Dearness Allowance to the remaining left out daily rated workers who have been engaged for regular nature of work but not against sanctioned posts vide Admn’s order No.1283 dated 9th May 2023, referring to the policy decision of Andaman and Nicobar Administration vide Office Memorandum No.286 dated 22.09.2017.

Port Blair, May 11: CPI (M) has urged the Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands to take immediate effective steps to tide over the water crisis in the Port Blair town and rural South Andaman areas during the coming days as the steps taken by the Administration so far proved to be ineffective. In a letter sent to the Lt. Governor, D. Ayyappan, State Secretary of CPI (M) Andaman & Nicobar Islands further requested the Lt. Governor to hold an All Party meeting at his level to discuss this burning issue.
