Port Blair, Dec. 28: Mela Moments Photography Contest is being organized by Ministry of Culture, New Delhi in partnership with MyGov as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The contest will run from Sharad Navarathri to Chaitra Navarathri (March 31, 2023). Every month, three best photos will be awarded under following categories with a cash prize.

  1. Mela vibes which is an ode to unique & colourful nature of Indian fairs .
  2. Chatori Gully which celebrates best mela food.

Port Blair, Dec. 28: Andaman & Nicobar Islands are prone to Geological and Hydro-meteorological disasters. These Islands also falls in cyclogeneses zone and significant number of cyclones gets generated every year in the Andaman Sea. Heavy rainfall due to monsoon leads to localized flooding also occurs frequently in low lying areas. To provide localised information about such Natural Phenomena various mobile applications have been developed.

Port Blair, Dec. 28: A team of Doctors (Ayurveda) and Para Medical Staff of Regional Ayurveda Research Institute (RARI), a unit of CCRAS under Ministry of AYUSH, Port Blair will be conduct free Ayurveda Health Camp and Survey at Chuckchucha village of Car Nicobar Island from Dec. 28, 2022 to Jan. 11, 2023.
