Billiground, May 14: In a swift and efficient operation carried out on 13/05/2024, the Billiground Police successfully confiscated a significant quantity of illicit liquor at Govind Nagar No.2 forest.

Acting promptly on a tip, SI M.V Shiju Kumar, SHO, PS Billiground formed a specialized team consisting of ASI Muchray Munda along with PC Mustafa and HG Tatha Rao. The proactive team successfully seized a significant quantity of 200 liters of Lehan, along with other bhatti materials used in the production process. These materials were discreetly hidden within the jungle. Subsequently, all confiscated items were promptly destroyed, dealing a major blow to the illegal liquor manufacturing network.

Port Blair, May 13: The result of All India Senior Secondary Certificate Examination 2023-24 (Class XII) has been announced today. As per the results downloaded from the website of CBSE, out of 4858 students who appeared in class XII from the Government and Private Schools in A & N Islands, 4590 students have passed and 219 students have been placed in compartment. The overall pass percentage of A & N Islands stood at 94.48%.
