Passengers those who have purchased their tickets for the above sailings have been informed to cancel their tickets and get full refund through online/STARS Ticketing Counters.

Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI has deeply mourned the sad demise of Smt. Essar Devi (Aged 92 Yrs.) W/o Late Jog Ram R/o Brich Gunj, who left for heavenly abode on today 02.06.2023 at G.B.Pant Hospital at 03.55 PM. Shri Jolly prayed to the Almighty for the eternal peace of the departed soul and to give strength to her bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. Her last rites would start at 11AM tomorrow (03-06-2023), from her residence.

Project Can Provide 22.60 MLD of Additional Water: Kuldeep

Port Blair, June 1: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to execute the Stage II proposal of Rutland Water Supply Project as early as possible.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament mentioned that the completion of Stage – I of Rutland Water Supply Project in December 2021 provided much required 6.60 ML (Million Litres) of water daily from Rutland to Pongi Balu – Dhanikhari Dam catering to the daily growing demand of water of Port Blair City. Execution of the said project helped to a certain extent in alleviating the daily water demand.

Port Blair, June 1: Commodore M Rajkumar assumed command of Naval Ship Repair Yard (NSRY), Port Blair on 31 May 23, from Commodore R Vaidhyanathan. He was commissioned in the Indian Navy on 26 Nov 1994 and has held numerous significant afloat and ashore appointments throughout his illustrious career. Before assuming his present appointment, Commodore M Rajkumar served as the Officer in Charge at SOT (Severodvinsk) in Russia. He brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role.
