Port Blair, May 12: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today demanded for construction of an overhead water tank (15,00,000 Ltrs storage capacity) at Dairy Farm Ward No.15, Port Blair out of Port Blair Smart City Project fund for proper water supply to the residents of dairy farm and adjoining areas.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary the Member of Parliament mentioned that despite making all efforts by the A&N Administration to ensure providing proper water supply to the residents, many people in Dairy farm (thick residential zone) are facing acute shortage of water due to non-availability of sufficient water storage and pumping at Dairy farm.

Port Blair, May 12: Former State President BJP, Shri Vishal Jolly has written a letter to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration in the matter of unavailability of road connectivity within the panchayat, for the residents of Santinagar, Gandhinagar and Ganeshnagar of Gandhinagar Gram Panchayat, Diglipur Tehsil.
In his letter Jolly mentioned that on his recently concluded visit to the Gandhinagar Panchayat of Diglipur Tehsil, North & Middle Andaman District, a serious problem of non-availability of inner road connectivity within Gandhinagar Panchayat was brought to his knowledge.

Port Blair, May 12: ‘Island Music Festival’ will begin on 21st May, 2022 at Corbyn's Cove. In the day time, patriotic singing competition would be organized for walk in tourists at Cellular Jail on Saturday by Art & Culture Department. The event would include live singing and dance competition followed by live band and dance by professional groups.
Contestants can create a video of their performance (solo singing/dancing, group singing/dancing, singing along with an instrument like guitar, instrument playing, or any other form of performing arts), upload the same on YouTube and send the link to email id This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., along with details including name, place of residence and contact number on or before 19/05/2022 before 10.am. Contestants are encouraged to sing peppy/happy songs that go well with the mood of the beach and festival.
