The President, Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Shri Rakeshwar Lall in a letter to the Lt. Governor inform that the Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) earlier used to provide Hearse (Mortuary Van) to carry deceased person to North and Middle Andaman region. But the PBMC has withdrawn this service for various reasons (COVID/Shortage staff & Vehicle etc). The decision of PBMC has left many people of North & Middle Andaman totally helpless. Those who hail from financially weak families are worst hit as to carry a deceased person from Port Blair to N & M Andaman in Private Vehicles one has to pay nearly Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 50,000 to private vehicle owners.

On the joyous occasion of Lohri, Makar Sankranti and Pongal, I on behalf of  Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Andaman and Nicobar Islands convey my greetings and best wishes to all respected Islanders and wish them prosperity , health, happiness and harmony. The festivals, associated with the harvest season, and celebrated with gaiety and enthusiasm all across the Islands and mainland, symbolize our unity in diversity. May the festivals herald the beginning of further growth and progress and inspire us to work for the overall development of our Islands and mark the commencement of an era of abundance, prosperity and new opportunities.
