Lt Governor Visits LOP Luis-in-Let Bay and Interview Island on Day 1
Port Blair, Nov. 9: Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency today embarked on a two-day visit to North & Middle Andaman for inspection of LOPs and National Highway. The Lt Governor inspected the National Highway on the way to Middle Strait Jetty by road.

Port Blair, Nov. 9: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to issue necessary directions to the Electricity Department to provide uninterrupted power supply and to find the faults and take necessary measures to stop such power cuts.
In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, the Member of Parliament mentioned that due to frequent power cuts, electronic equipment in their homes are getting damaged and they are unable to carry out normal daily chores at home.

Port Blair, Nov. 9: Mahindra Powerol through its dealer ANEMCO PVT. LTD. is now officially the largest power backup provider for Jio & Airtel telecom towers in A&N Islands. It is currently providing power backup to 140 towers, and in future is designated for more than 300 towers.

Port Blair, Nov. 9: As part of publication of Integrated Draft Electoral Roll-2023 and to reach out to people at large, a Walkathon on the theme ‘A Step for Participative Elections’ was flagged off by the Chief Electoral Officer, A&N Islands, Shri Binay Bhushan, IAS from National Memorial Cellular Jail this morning in the presence of Jt. Chief Electoral Officer, ANI, Shri Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Electoral Registration Officer, ANI, Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS and Dy. Chief Electoral Officer, ANI, Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS and a large number of general public, BLOs and election related Officers participated in the event. The rally culminated at Flag Point.
