Port Blair, Jan 15: The vessel Sindhu will sail from Port Blair to Vizag on Jan.16, 2023 at 1600 hrs from Haddo Wharf. Excess baggage will be loaded from 1400 hrs to 1600 hrs on 15.01.2023 i.e. one day prior to sailing of the vessel.  Embarkation of passengers will commence from 1400 hrs to 1500 hrs on Jan.16, 2023. The embarkation of passengers will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel.

Shaheed Dweep, Jan 13: Fisheries sector has huge potential which will be developed in a broader scale for the economic prosperity of A&N Islands, said the Chief Secretary, A&N Islands, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS while interacting with the PRIs and the officials of various Departments at Shaheed Dweep today. Picturesque Shaheed Dweep Islands is endowed with abundant potential to attract tourists from across the country and globe, he said adding that Bharatpur Beach is one of the most beautiful beach of international standard. The Chief Secretary also emphasized the need to promote fisheries. He said, rich fishery resources available in Andaman Nicobar waters offers immense scope for export.

Port Blair, Jan 13: Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt Governor, A&N Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency is on a four-day visit to Little Andaman, Kamorta and Look Out Post at Tillangchong. Took passage in MV Nalanda from Port Blair. Interacted with Officers and crew of the ship, and inspected facilities en-route. On arrival at Hut Bay, Hon’ble Lt Governor was received by senior Officers of the A&N Administration and PRI members.
