Port Blair, Sept. 13: On 12th September 2023, the Andaman and Nicobar State Cooperative Union organised a Certificate Distribution Ceremony for the women of Stewartgunj Panchayat for successfully completing their one year Tailoring and Fashion Designing Course. Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration graced the occasion as the chief guest in the presence of the Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma.

Port Blair, Sept. 13: The official launch event of the Atal Foundation was organized on 10th September 2023 at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar from 6 PM onwards. The National President of Atal Foundation Smti. Aparna Singh along with the dignitaries of the foundation from all around our country attended the launch event.

The Atal Foundation has historically been working in areas of literacy, health, disability, empowerment of the underprivileged and livelihoods. Almost two decades after rich experience of grassroots developmental work, the Atal Foundation has revisited its larger purpose and repositioned its focus area. The Foundation will now focus its energies towards achieving systemic and social change through Education. The programme was very successful in describing its social objectives to the general public.

Port Blair, Sept. 13: The PS Pahargaon team, in pursuit of its unwavering commitment to maintaining public safety and security has made a significant breakthrough in the recent Burglary case. Through diligent investigative work and swift action, they have not only arrested the suspect but also successfully recovered all stolen gold ornaments.

On 29th August 2023, a FIR vide No. 155/2023 dated 29/08/2023 was registered at the PS Pahargaon, U/s 454/380 IPC, pertaining to the theft of valuable gold ornaments and cash. The case was assigned to Sub-Inspector Manish Narayan of PS Pahargaon for investigation.

Car Nicobar, Sept. 13: Based on an information received on manufacturing of illicit liquor, a raiding team constituted by Inspector Shabsna Haneef Incharge PS Car Nicobar went for jungle search. The team found around 270 Liters (Lehan) Jungli in the jungle of small Lapathy. Continuing the raid, the team successfully recovered around 80 liters of illicit liquor in the jungle of Arong village. The total recovery was around 350 Litres.

Port Blair, Sept. 13: In line with the endeavours of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to bolster the spirit of national pride across airports nationwide, the Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has proposed 24-Hour Illuminated High-Mast Tricolour at VSI International Airport, Port Blair.

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation, the AAI has been instrumental in elevating the nation's pride by installing high-mast, 24-hour illuminated tricolours at various airports.
