Port Blair, Sept. 20: The Unique ID for Persons with Disabilities project aims to create a National Database for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and to issue a Unique Disability Identity (UDID) Card to each individual with disabilities, which is now in full swing. This project not only promotes transparency and efficiency, and streamlines Government benefit delivery to Persons with Disabilities but also ensures uniformity in accessibility and services.

Port Blair, Sept. 20: The passengers/general public have been informed that due to insufficient booking of passenger tickets, the vessel MV Swaraj Dweep which was scheduled to sail for Vizag on Sept.22, 2023 at 1000 hrs from Port Blair (and her return voyage on Sept.26, 2023 at 1600 hrs from Vizag to Port Blair has been cancelled. Passengers those who have purchased their tickets for the sailing have been informed to cancel their tickets and get full refund.

Port Blair, Sept. 20: All concerned candidates who have applied for allotment of various Professional/Technical/Non-Technical courses reserved at mainland institutions for the academic session 2023-24 have been informed that the counselling for the courses viz. BHMS - 4 seats, BAMS- 4 seats and Paramedical courses (DMLT -2, DRRT -1, DOA -1, DMC-1 & D.Pharm –1) -6 seats will be held on Sept.26, 2023 at 10 am in the Auditorium of Tagore Govt. College of Education.

Port Blair, Sept. 19: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands to expedite the issuance of appointment letters to those candidates who have qualified in various recruitment examinations conducted by A & N Administration.

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, the Member of Parliament expressed sincere gratitude for Hon’ble Lt. Governor’s active involvement and steadfast guidance, which have been instrumental in ensuring the successful conduct of several recruitment examinations in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands over the past six to eight months.
