Port Blair, June 3: Due to Administrative reasons, the schedule sailing of the vessel MV Campbell Bay for Campbell Bay via Little Andaman, Chowra, Teressa & Nancowry on 03.06.2023 at 0900 hrs from Haddo Wharf and return to Port Blair on 05.06.2023 at 0900 hrs from Campbell Bay via same route has been cancelled. Passengers those who have purchased their tickets for the above sailings have been informed to cancel their tickets and get full refund through online/STARS Ticketing Counters.

Project Can Provide 22.60 MLD of Additional Water: Kuldeep
Port Blair, June 1: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to execute the Stage II proposal of Rutland Water Supply Project as early as possible.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament mentioned that the completion of Stage – I of Rutland Water Supply Project in December 2021 provided much required 6.60 ML (Million Litres) of water daily from Rutland to Pongi Balu – Dhanikhari Dam catering to the daily growing demand of water of Port Blair City. Execution of the said project helped to a certain extent in alleviating the daily water demand.

Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI has deeply mourned the sad demise of Smt. Essar Devi (Aged 92 Yrs.) W/o Late Jog Ram R/o Brich Gunj, who left for heavenly abode on today 02.06.2023 at G.B.Pant Hospital at 03.55 PM. Shri Jolly prayed to the Almighty for the eternal peace of the departed soul and to give strength to her bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss. Her last rites would start at 11AM tomorrow (03-06-2023), from her residence.

Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has extended his warmest congratulations to Islands’ Cycling sensation Esow Alben for his extraordinary accomplishment of winning the bronze medal in the elite men’s keirin event at a UCI Class 1 Event-Finale Bahnen-Tournee 2023 cycling competition in Dudenhofen, Germany.
