Port Blair, Oct. 3: The South Andaman PRIs held a meeting today with the aim of forming an association to address the issues of strengthening and supporting the initiatives taken by North Andaman. The meeting was highly productive, with participants engaging in fruitful discussions and outlining a plan for future action to safeguard the rights of PRI (Panchayati Raj Institutions).

Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to appoint a sufficient number of well-trained coaches for all the sports for children and youths of these Islands so that local sports talents receive professional guidance and training.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament said that children and youths of these Islands are exceptionally good in the field of sports. In recent times, these talented young individuals have demonstrated exceptional prowess, not only at the national level but also on the international level.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has requested the LG, A & N Islands to initiate regular boat services between Port Blair and Inter-Islands (North & Middle Andaman).

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Halder highlighted a matter of great importance concerning the transportation infrastructure in the North and Middle Andaman region.
