Port Blair, July 28: Due to administrative reason, the examination scheduled on July 29 of UG / PG courses of Pondicherry University has been postponed and rescheduled to Aug. 23, 2023.

Port Blair, July 28: The students who are interested in pursuing diploma programmes in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology at DBRAIT have been informed that few seats are vacant in the above mentioned disciplines and few seats are also vacant in Govt. Polytechnic Diglipur in “Civil & Computer Science Engineering”.

Car Nicobar, July 27: Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd), Hon'ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency inaugurated the Copra Procurement-2023 under the Price Support Scheme under PM-AASHA at a function organized at the Priyadarshini Indoor Stadium, Tamaloo, Car Nicobar this morning. Price Support Scheme under the Umbrella Scheme 'Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan'-(PM-AASHA) provides Minimum Support Price to farmers for their produce in a particular season. The Hon'ble Lt. Governor lighted the traditional oil lamp marking the inauguration of the copra procurement, in the presence of the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, Secretary, Agriculture, Dr. Satyendra Singh Dursawat, Secretary (Cooperation)-cum-RCS, Smti Ranjana Deswal, Chairman, Tribal Council, Car Nicobar, Shri Lionel Nicomede, Chairperson, Tribal Council, Nancowrie, Smti Ayesha Majid, senior officers of the Administration, village captains and people of Car Nicobar.

Port Blair, July 28: The classes for Diploma Programs in Dr. B R Ambedkar Institute of Technology for the academic session 2023-24 shall commence from July 31. All the newly admitted students have been asked to attend and report to their respective Departments at 8:30 am.

Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration to reopen tourism activities at Wandoor beach by opening a double netting swimming zone at Wandoor beach to prevent any potential crocodile attacks, allowing tourists to freely enjoy swimming and the beauty of nature at Wandoor Beach.
