Port Blair, Feb 2: The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, A&N Administration is organizing free yoga camp from Feb. 2 to 4, 2024 from 5.30 am to 7 am at Corbyn’s Cove Beach and from 5.30 pm to 6 .30 pm at Marina Park imparting yoga training of Surya Namaskar and Chadra Namaskar to participants during the camp.

Power supply will remain suspended on Feb.3 from 8 am to 2 pm in connection with the replacement of HT pole in Hope Town feeder near 6 pole structure. The areas to be affected are Panel-V- Bambooflat to Mount Manipur and Bambooflat to Wimberlygunj Medical. The above work will be carried out subject to weather condition and if the work is completed earlier, the feeder will be charged accordingly.

Port Blair, Feb 1: On 01.02.2024, the A&N Police organized a Cyber Awareness Session related to familiarization of “National Government Services Portal (https://services.india.gov.in)”, under Cyber Guru-Vaar initiative, held every Thursday by Cyber Crime Police Station, A&N Islands. In this training officers from the rank of Constable to Inspectors of A&N Police participated. This is 15th session in this series.

Port Blair, Feb 1: The South Andaman District Police has succeeded in solving a blind burglary case within 24 hours showing professionalism resulting in the arrest and apprehension of accused person involved in the crime. On 29th Jan. 2024, a burglary case was reported at PS Aberdeen regarding burglary of gold ornaments worth around Rs. 15 Lakhs and cash Rs. 48,000 from the residents of complainant at School Line, Port Blair. On 26th Jan, the complainant and his family members went to his brother’s house as his brother went to Chennai for treatment. On 29th January, he was informed by the landlord that the lock of the door was broken. Immediately he reached as his home and found that gold ornaments and cash were stolen by unknown person from the Almirah.
