Port Blair, June 3: The Andaman & Nicobar Muaythai team has won 9 medals in the Muaythai nationals held in Chennai from 25 to 30 May. The Islands’ team won one gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze. More than 1000 athletes from across 28 states of the country had competed in the event.

In his letter Shri Jolly mentioned that under the directions of Hon’ble Prime Minister Mananiya Narendra Modi Ji, 10 lacs Central Government vacant posts are slated to have been filled up within September-2023 by direct recruitments throughout the Country and the Union Territory is no exception to it.

Diglipur, June 3: Continuing its crackdown on the illicit ganja, illicit liquor, Handia, & illegal sale of IMFL, the District Police of North & Middle Andaman with the help of local informers conducted regular raids and searches in jungles. During the month of May-2023, the teams of various Police Stations, headed by SHOs and Sub-Inspectors conducted raids & massive jungle search operation.

Port Blair, June 3: In pursuant to the Govt. of India's Digital India Campaign to maintain transparency and accountability, the Legal Metrology Department functioning under the Directorate of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, A&N Administration will initiate cashless transaction with effect from 5th June, 2023 and will be accepting only digital form of payment by introducing Scan & Pay (QR Code) facilities in the office.
