Today, on January 25, 2024, we observe 14th National Voters' Day to encourage, facilitate and maximize the enrollment of new voters, thereby fortifying the democratic fabric of our nation. It is also focused on inspiring the youth to participate in the electoral process, upholding India's commitment to Universal Adult Franchise.

I call upon every single citizen of these Islands, who has attained the age of 18 years as on 1st January, 2024 to enroll themselves as a voter in the Electoral Roll. Any citizen attaining the age of 18 years by April 1, July 1 and October 1 of 2024 can also submit an advance application for registration as a voter. I also call upon them to exercise their right to vote in coming General Elections - 2024. It is a matter of pleasure that through consistent efforts, A&N Islands have achieved an electoral roll of 3,11,802 voters following the revision recently published on 5th January, out of which, 1,49,410 are women voters.
