Port Blair, June 29 with Late Night Update: The ANTCC President, Shri Ranglal Halder has suspended the Ex-Block President, Shri Ganesh Acharya and Shri Abdul Islam, Councillor, Ward No. 4 from the party for a period of six years. In a release, Halder mentioned that the suspension has been ordered after looking and going through the incident of conflict, which took place today evening at Gandhi Bhavan and the consequences which arose thereafter was really very sad and disheartening to witness.

Port Blair, June 29: During the RTPCR conducted on 177 incoming flight passengers, who arrived here yesterday, five positive cases have been detected. Today, 11 flights with 1559 passengers arrived, out of which, 1345 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 177 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Mr Rakeshwar Lall, State President, Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Andaman Unit has expressed deep anguished over the sudden demise of Mr. Subaiah. Age 55 yrs, employee of ANIIDCO and founder member of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS). R/o. Chakargaon who expired at Kamorta Island at 5:00 am following cardiac arrest.
HRS prays to the Almighty to give eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss.

Port Blair, June 29: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,75,338 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,421 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 11,695 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 1,93,71.

MV Kalighat will sail for Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 04.07.2022 (Mon) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 06.07.2022 (Wed) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry.
Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued on 04.07.2022 at Haddo Wharf two hours prior to the departure time of the vessel based on the list provided by Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Port Blair and also after due verification of COVID Test Certificate and Islander Card/Local Certificate/Tribal Pass etc.
