Port Blair, Oct. 11: To facilitate the commuters of Nicobar District the Directorate of Shipping Services in consultation with District Administration has revised the sailing programme of MV Kalighat from Campbell Bay to Port Blair via Nancowry on 12.10.2021. As per the revised schedule the vessel will now sail for Port Blair on 12.10.2021 at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry, Katchal, Teressa, Chowra & Car Nicobar.

Port Blair, Oct. 8: Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) was established on 08th Oct 2001 under the unified command of the Commander-in-Chief Andaman and Nicobar (CINCAN) towards building synergy and cohesion between components to act in concert, whilst defending the National interests on these vital Islands and maritime space. ANC besides providing military presence, the Command has been vital in Aid to Civil Authorities, especially during the Tsunami.

Port Blair, Oct. 8: An interactive session was held in the District Office conference hall under the chairmanship of Shri Suneel Anchipaka, Deputy Commissioner (SA) for the augmentation of ground water resources in the Islands. Scientists from Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) and officers from different line departments were present.

Port Blair, Oct. 8: The Member of Parliament, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today requested the Chief Secretary to schedule weekly two sailing of ships/boats for Diglipur, Mayabunder and Rangat region so that people can safely and comfortably travel between North and Middle Andaman and Port Blair without fearing for their safety.
