Port Blair, Sept. 6: The counseling for admission to B.Sc.B.Ed. Maths and Computer Science in Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair for the academic year 2022-23 will be held tomorrow (Sept. 7, 2022) at 10 am in the Tagore Auditorium.   The category-wise list of candidates applied for admission to these Integrated Courses in Education (ITEP) have already been published and available at http://collegeadmission.andaman.gov.in/under “Announcements”.

Port Blair, Sept. 6: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,97,189 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,955 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 28, 393 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 2,61,074.

Port Blair, Sept 5: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to conduct a survey of all the roads and roadside drains of Andaman & Nicobar Islands so that road stretches without proper drainage are identified. Once the survey reports come, it will be easy to construct proper drains along all roads to ensure extended life of every road stretch.

Port Blair, Sept. 6: Three COVID positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands, of which, two were from incoming flight passenger who arrived here yesterday. Today, 10 flights with 1515 passengers arrived, out of which, 1357 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on110passengers and the reports are awaited.

Alappuzha (Kerala), Sept. 5: The 68th edition of annual Nehru Trophy Boat race was held in Alappuzha, Kerala yesterday. Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency as the chief guest flagged off the Race at Punamada Lake in Alappuzha district. Thousands of spectators from across the State and other parts of the country including foreign tourists witnessed the much awaited sporting event. The event was organized by Kerala Tourism.
