Kuldeep Rai Sharma on 16th October 2023, laid foundation stone for construction of an open shed covering hollow block (3 mts height and MS Grill) for vegetable market and fruits vending adjoining to the existing vegetable market at Bhatu Basthi, Ward No. 19, under 17th Lok Sabha MPLAD Scheme.
The work with an estimated cost Rs.22,00,000 was sanctioned by the Member of Parliament following demands raised by a large number of people.

Port Blair, Oct. 17: The Executive Committee meeting of the South Andaman Teachers’ branch of Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held recently in Port Blair which expressed serious concern over the intermittent power cuts in the South Andaman area and poor condition of roads in the city causing a lot of inconvenience and difficulty for general public including government servants.
