Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI has deeply mourned the sad demise of Shri Bhagat Singh, aged 82 years, Chairman A & N State Coop. Bank Ltd., Rtd. SE Electricity Department & Father of Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, MP A&N Islands R/o Junglighat, Port Blair who left for heavenly abode on 27-10-2023 at Hyderabad at 09.40 AM. Shri Jolly prayed to the Almighty for the eternal peace of the departed soul and to give strength to his bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

CPI (M), Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee condoled the demise of Shri Bhagat Singh, Chairman, Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank Ltd. and retired Superintending Engineer, Electricity Department on the mainland today (27th October, 2023).  He was 82 years. CPI (M) conveyed its deepest condolences to the members of late Bhagat Singh. 

Port Blair, Oct. 26: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has demanded to restore full helicopter services across the islands.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament mentioned that helicopter services are the lifeline of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, providing essential and faster connectivity among different Islands. These services are not just a convenience but an absolute necessity, especially for medical emergencies and other critical transportation needs.

Mr. Rakeshwar Lall, State President, Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has deeply mourned the untimely demises of Shri Bhagat Singh, Ex Superintending Engineer, Electricity Department and Chairman, A& N State Cooperative Bank R/o Junglighat, aged 82 yrs, who breathed his last on 27.10.2023.

Mr Rakeshwar lall & HRS team prayed to the Almighty to give eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family members to bear the irreparable loss.

Port Blair, Oct. 26: The Indian Coast Guard, District Headquarters-14 conducted a Pollution Response Seminar and Mock Drill from 25 to 26 Oct 23, at Port Blair. The Training and Workshop was in sync with the National Oil Spill Disaster Contingency Plan (NOSDCP) for which Indian Coast Guard is Competent National Authority for coordinating marine oil pollution response. Dy Inspector General Pradeep B Mandal, TM, District Commander No. 14 (South & Little Andaman) chaired the seminar and highlighted the importance of preparedness by all stakeholders including A&N Administration, Disaster Management Board, Port Management Board, Forest Dept., IOCL, PMF, etc.
