Port Blair, June 3: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 212 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 13 flights with 1910 passengers arrived, out of which, 1616 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 233 passengers and the reports are awaited.  

Port Blair, June 2: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to schedule an all port ship for Nicobar district in ‘to and fro’ journey.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament mentioned that for a long time all port ships for Nicobar District (Car Nicobar- Kamorta- Katchal- Teressa- Nancowry- Chowra) is not available.

Port Blair, June 1: The District Health Society, South Andaman along with Directorate of Health Service under the National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB&VI) launched special campaign “Rashtriya Netr Jyoti Abhiyaan” today in South Andaman District. The aim is to completely cover the backlog of cataract surgeries causing Blindness and SVI, among the people aged 50 years and above by conducting primary screening of people for cataract through household survey and through conducting NCD screening along with Blindness and Visual Impairment screening in Health & Wellness Centre/Hospital.
